For the first time since 2020 LSFRC will be hosting in-person reading group sessions. In an effort to manage our collective capacity, these will occur every 2-3 months, and will be in-person only for the time being. Wherever possible, we will aim to announce these at least four weeks in advance, though it has not been possible in this instance.

August 2024 Reading Group Session Details
Text & author: The Seep by Chana Porter. The standard paperback edition also comes with a short story set in the same world, consider this bonus reading!
Venue: Pelican House, Bethnal Green, E1 5QJ. Room details to follow.
Date: 6th August 2024.
Time: 6 pm start, lasting for ~70-80 minutes.

Andor Analysed
The reading group session on The Seep will be followed by a screening + launch event for Red Futures Mag’s collection Andor Analysed, Part 1. The Andor portion of the evening should run from 7.30-9 pm.

As always, LSFRC’s reading group is open to all, regardless of background, experience, knowledge of sf, etc. While some of us are academics, the reading group is not a professionalised academic space, but rather an open arena for people to share their enjoyment of and takes on sf media.
